Short Itinerary (8N/9D)

Day 1: Arrival in Rishikesh – Bike briefing & local exploration

Day 2: Rishikesh to Barkot (190 km / 7–8 hrs)

Day 3: Barkot to Yamunotri Darshan (36 km ride + 6 km trek one way) – return to Barkot

Day 4: Barkot to Uttarkashi (100 km / 5 hrs)

Day 5: Uttarkashi to Gangotri Darshan (100 km one way) – return to Uttarkashi

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Rishikesh/Haridwar

Arrive in Rishikesh or Haridwar, the spiritual gateway of the Himalayas. After hotel check-in, you’ll meet your fellow riders and receive a detailed briefing about the ride, safety instructions, and route plan. In the evening, attend the famous Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat and explore the lively streets of Rishikesh. Overnight stay in Rishikesh/Haridwar.

Day 2: Rishikesh – Barkot (Approx. 190 km / 7–8 hrs)

Start your ride after breakfast. The journey takes you along the winding roads of the Shivalik ranges and through picturesque hill towns like Mussoorie and Kempty Falls. By evening, reach Barkot, a serene base town for Yamunotri. Overnight stay in Barkot.

Day 3: Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot (36 km ride + 6 km trek one way)

Ride up to Janki Chatti, the trek base for Yamunotri. Begin the 6 km trek to the holy shrine of Yamunotri, dedicated to Goddess Yamuna. Take a dip at Surya Kund hot spring and offer prayers at the temple. Return trek to Janki Chatti, ride back to Barkot, and relax. Overnight stay in Barkot.

Day 4: Barkot – Uttarkashi (Approx. 100 km / 5 hrs)

After breakfast, ride towards Uttarkashi along the Yamuna and Bhagirathi rivers. On the way, visit Prakateshwar Cave Temple. By afternoon, arrive in Uttarkashi, home to the ancient Vishwanath Temple. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.

Day 5: Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (100 km one way)

Today, ride through scenic pine forests and along the roaring Bhagirathi River to reach Gangotri, situated at 3,100 m. Visit the Gangotri Temple, where River Ganga is worshipped as Goddess Ganga. Witness the majestic Bhairon Ghati and snow-clad peaks. After darshan, return ride to Uttarkashi. Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.

Day 6: Uttarkashi – Guptkashi (Approx. 220 km / 9–10 hrs)

A long but rewarding ride today. The route passes through Tilwara and Rudraprayag, where the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers meet. Continue to Guptkashi, a holy town known for the Vishwanath and Ardhnareshwar Temples. Overnight stay in Guptkashi.

Day 7: Guptkashi – Gaurikund – Kedarnath (16 km trek)

Ride a short distance to Gaurikund, the trek base of Kedarnath. Begin the 16 km uphill trek to the revered Kedarnath Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. The trail runs along the Mandakini River with breathtaking views. In the evening, attend the soul-stirring Kedarnath Aarti. Overnight stay in Kedarnath.

Day 8: Kedarnath – Gaurikund – Guptkashi

Wake up early for temple darshan at Kedarnath. After breakfast, trek back to Gaurikund and then ride back to Guptkashi. Evening at leisure to rest after the trek. Overnight stay in Guptkashi.

Day 9: Guptkashi – Badrinath (Approx. 190 km / 8–9 hrs)

Begin your ride towards Badrinath, passing Chopta (also called “Mini Switzerland”) and Joshimath. Reach Badrinath by evening. Attend the Badrinath Temple Aarti, a spiritually uplifting experience. Overnight stay in Badrinath.

Day 10: Badrinath – Mana Village – Rudraprayag (Approx. 160 km / 7 hrs)

Morning darshan at Badrinath Temple. Afterward, ride a short distance to Mana Village, the last Indian village near the Tibet border. Visit Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, and the confluence of Saraswati and Alaknanda Rivers. Post sightseeing, start riding back to Rudraprayag. Overnight stay in Rudraprayag.

Day 11: Rudraprayag – Rishikesh (Approx. 160 km / 6–7 hrs)

Ride back towards Rishikesh through Srinagar and Devprayag, retracing the confluence points of Uttarakhand’s holy rivers. By evening, arrive in Rishikesh and relax. Overnight stay in Rishikesh.

Day 12: Departure from Rishikesh/Haridwar

After breakfast, the trip concludes. Riders can depart for their respective destinations with the memories of completing the sacred Char Dham Bike Yatra.
