Day 1: Dehradun to Sankri (Drive)

Day 2: Sankri to Taluka (Drive) → Trek to Seema/Osla

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Dehradun to Sankri (Drive – 200 km / 8–9 hrs)

The journey starts with a scenic drive from Dehradun through Mussoorie, Purola, and Mori. You’ll pass pine forests, terraced fields, and the Tons River valley before reaching Sankri (1,950 m), the base village for the trek. Overnight stay in guesthouse/homestay.

Day 2: Sankri to Taluka (Drive – 12 km / 1 hr) → Trek to Seema/Osla (12 km / 5–6 hrs)

After a short drive to Taluka, the trek begins along the Supin River. The trail passes through lush forests of walnut, pine, and chestnut, with small wooden bridges and streams. After crossing villages and meadows, you reach Seema or Osla, known for their ancient wooden temples and traditional Himalayan houses. Overnight stay in tents/homestay.

Day 3: Seema/Osla to Har Ki Dun Valley (11 km / 6–7 hrs)

Today’s trek offers breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks like Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, and Black Peak. The trail gradually ascends through terraced fields, pine and rhododendron forests, and alpine meadows. You’ll reach the Har Ki Dun Valley (3,500 m), surrounded by towering peaks and pristine beauty. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 4: Exploration Day at Har Ki Dun

A day to explore the enchanting valley. Options include a trek to Maninda Tal, a beautiful alpine lake, or a hike towards the Jaundhar Glacier viewpoint, offering close views of Swargarohini peaks. This day is for photography, relaxation, and soaking in the mythological significance of the region. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 5: Har Ki Dun to Seema/Osla (11 km / 5–6 hrs)

Retrace your steps back to Seema/Osla. The descent is easier and gives more time to appreciate the landscape, interact with locals, and capture the charm of Himalayan villages. Overnight stay in tents/homestay.

Day 6: Seema/Osla to Taluka (12 km / 5 hrs) → Drive to Sankri (12 km / 1 hr)

Trek back along the Supin River to reach Taluka, followed by a short drive to Sankri. Relax at the base village with a hot meal and spend the evening in leisure. Overnight stay in guesthouse.

Day 7: Sankri to Dehradun (Drive – 200 km / 8–9 hrs)

Depart early for Dehradun. The long drive brings you back through pine-covered roads, valleys, and riversides, marking the end of a memorable Himalayan journey.

How fit do I need to be for this trek?
