Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Sankri

Arrive at Sankri village, the base for the Kedarkantha trek. Meet your trekking team, check into guesthouses, and attend a briefing on the trek, safety protocols, and equipment. Spend the day acclimatizing and exploring the charming Himalayan village surrounded by pine forests. Overnight stay in Sankri.

Day 2: Sankri → Juda Ka Talab → Base Camp (Trek 6–7 km / 4–5 hrs)

After breakfast, begin the trek through dense pine and deodar forests with occasional streams and snow patches. Pass by Juda Ka Talab, a small frozen lake during winters, and enjoy the pristine natural beauty. Reach the Base Camp, set tents, and enjoy the first night under the stars. Overnight stay in tents at Base Camp.

Day 3: Base Camp → Kedarkantha Summit → Base Camp (Trek 10–12 km / 6–7 hrs)

Start early for the summit push. The climb is moderately steep but offers panoramic views of peaks like Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, and Black Peak. Witness the sunrise over snow-clad mountains from the summit at 3,810 m (12,500 ft). After capturing photos and soaking in the views, descend back to Base Camp. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 4: Base Camp → Juda Ka Talab → Sankri (Trek 8–10 km / 5–6 hrs)

Trek back through the same scenic trail, enjoying the snow-laden forests and frozen streams. Reach Juda Ka Talab, and continue down to Sankri village. Evening free to rest, explore the village, or interact with locals. Overnight stay in Sankri guesthouse.

Day 5: Sankri → Dehradun/Rishikesh (Drive ~200 km / 8–9 hrs)

After breakfast, start the drive back to Dehradun or Rishikesh, passing through small Himalayan towns and scenic valleys. Reach by evening. Overnight stay in hotel or proceed for onward travel.

Day 6: Departure

After breakfast, conclude the trek. Depart for your onward journey with unforgettable memories of the Kedarkantha snow trek.
